Split sheet calculator

A split sheet records who wrote what and who owns what, signed on the day, while everyone still agrees. It is the single cheapest piece of paperwork in music and the one most often skipped, and the argument it prevents typically arrives years later, when there's finally money involved.

Two different pies. The writing share is the song itself, meaning lyrics and composition. The master share is that specific recording. Each must total 100% on its own. A producer might hold 50% of the master and 20% of the writing; those are unrelated numbers.

2. Everyone in the room

Everyone who contributed creatively, including the person who only changed one line. Especially that person.
